"Feeding Minds” Hunger Curriculum
In the fall of 2007, in conjunction with our annual Hike for Hunger fundraising event, the Vermont Campaign to End Childhood Hunger unveiled our “Feeding Minds” elementary school curriculum for teachers to use in their classrooms. The curriculum uses facts, statistics, and interactive classroom activities to stress the importance of regular and healthy meals.

Educators across Vermont are using “Feeding Minds” in the classroom to teach their students about the issue of hunger in our state. To learn more about how Vermont kids are fighting hunger, check out this website that students at Edmunds Middle School in Burlington put together as part of a recent hunger project, including these wonderful essays.
The Vermont Campaign to End Childhood Hunger wishes to thank the National Life Group BlueCross BlueShield of Vermont the Food Research Action Center (FRAC) & Northfield Savings Bank for providing the generous funding and support that make this and other projects possible.
