Refugee Nutrition Training Opportunity
The response to this training opportunity has been overwhelming, and this training session is filled to capacity.
We encourage you to complete the registration form. You’ll be added to the waiting list to be contacted in the event of a cancellation. On the registration form, please check the box marked “I would like to receive the VTCECH monthly electronic Hunger and Nutrition update” so we can keep you informed of trainings, funding opportunities, and other relevant information.
The Vermont Campaign to End Childhood Hunger (VTCECH) and the Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program, in partnership with the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), will host a two-day training on how to promote healthy eating and living in refugee communities.
The session is open to refugee service providers, resettlement case workers, ESL teachers, MAAs, advocates and volunteers. Capacity is limited to 25 participants; we hope to accomodate all who are interested, but priority will be given to those who currently spend a significant amount of time providing food and nutrition assistance to refugees in Vermont.
Dates: Wednesday, June 25th and Thursday, June 26th (participants must attend both days)
Time: 8:30am -- 4:30pm
Location: Vermont Department of Health, Cherry Street, Burlington
Fee: $30 for the two-day training (includes lunch)
Scholarships are available upon request.
Please complete the form below to register. Please contact Joanne Heidkamp with any questions regarding the training.
