Sarah RobinsonSchool Meals

As the Senior Nutrition Program & Policy Specialist at the Vermont Campaign to End Childhood Hunger, Sarah Robinson works extensively with policymakers at the state and federal level, schools, advocates, and community groups to develop and expand federally funded school and out-of-school time meal programs for low-income children.

Sarah is an expert on the state and federal administrative requirements of these programs, and related public policy guidelines and recommendations. Sarah can also provide information on the importance of federally funded meals for school-aged children, and examples of exemplary programs serving children in communities throughout Vermont. She is able to answer in-depth questions about school-based nutrition programs from journalists, advocates, and community groups.

Before joining the Campaign, Sarah worked in the non-profit sector on anti-violence campaigns, and international education programs. Sarah received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Skidmore College, and is currently pursuing her Masters in Social Work form the University of Vermont. Sarah is also a City Councilor in Winooski, Vermont.
